2-Amino-4,6-Dimethylpyrimidine CAS 767-15-7
|Package||25 kg / fiber drum|
2-Amino-4,6-dimethylpyrimidine is an important intermediate for the preparation of antibiotic sulfamethazine (SM2) and super-efficient herbicide sulfonylurea compounds containing pyrimidine ring structure. In addition, because its molecular structure contains amino groups, which can form complexes with metal ions, it has a wide range of applications in the fields of pesticides and medicine. As early as 1951, Haley used guanidine nitrate and acetylacetone to synthesize this compound.
2-Amino-4,6-dimethylpyrimidine is an intermediate of sulfonylurea herbicide sulfuron-methyl. It could be used in the synthesis of sulfuron-methyl and in the synthesis of sulfa antibiotics, such as sulfamethazine, salicylate azosulfamethazine and sulfanitrofuran (DMF), etc. It also could be used in the synthesis of pesticide sulfuron-methyl.
